The Soma Yoga Teacher Training Certification Program is approved for
Registration with the Yoga
Alliance and The Yoga Registry.
Three Levels of Training & Certification
AUDIT
For those serious students who are looking to advance their practice,
but do not wish to teach or
receive Certification. Can be taken at own pace.
Prerequisite: At least One Full Year of Practice
-Completion of Audit Application. At least 5 previous classes at
Soma Yoga or with Soma Trained Teacher.
FUNDAMENTAL
For those who are already teaching, or serious students, and wish to
share their love for yoga with
others. Completed in an 8-24 month period.
Prerequisite:
At least Two Full Years of Practice - Completion of S.Y.T.Training
Application. At least 5 previous
classes with Tonya.
ADVANCED
For teachers who have been completed their 200 hour Training (at Soma,
or approved school), and
are looking to deepen their skills at the Master Level. Completed in a
12-30 month period.
Prerequisite:
At least One Full Year of Teaching Completion of Advanced Application.
A current or pending
200 hour training fromTonya or Approved school. 5-15 previous classes
with Tonya.
New FLEXIBLE Module Training
Schedule
A Module is equivalent to 40-50 Contact Hours and consists
of:
- 2 consecutive weekends
- 5-7 class practices with Tonya or Approved Soma E-
RYT.
- Assigned reading/writing or project demonstrating
comprehension
- Attendance at all weekend workshops is mandatory, the
additional classes and assignment can be done at own pace up to 8
weeks. A certificate of completion will be issued upon fulfilling the
aforementioned requirements. After completing the Main Module , the
additional modules can be attended in or out of sequence.
- Continuing Education Credit Hours-Teachers seeking to
maintain their current certification may attend individual workshops
for a pro-rated price.

Four Fundamental Level 200 hour Modules, schedule listed below. With
approval some 200 hour

Five Advanced Level 300 hour Modules, schedule listed below. With
approval some 300 hour
trainees may assist in Fundamental Modules, accruing contact hours in
lieu of Module time.

Following a discussion of the powerful relationship potential found in
dyads, groups &
between teachers & students.; we will explore a lab of verbal
and non-verbal communication
via pranic exchange/dialogue and contact. yoga (assisting).
The Alchemy of Asana
Sunday, February 11, 12-6:30pm
The force of harmonious transformation is found throughout the
teachings of Yoga. in this
workshop we will learn ways in which our hatha practice reflects or
resists this principle.
This day will consist of a deeper exploration into the symbolic nature
of and execution of
asana in the vinyasa format.

Cikitsa Yoga Healing
Friday, February 16, 2007, 6pm-10pm
Inherently anasakti in practice and theory, Yoga challenges us to
transcend our often limited
understanding of the world and our role in it. This workshop will
explore ways in which
we can facilitate deeper healing for our students and selves by
expanding our awareness ,
working with acceptance and intention.
Shakti-pat and the
Kali-yuga
Saturday, February 17, 12-7:30pm
Called the age of darkness, the kali-yuga is thought by many scholars
and mystics to have
ended. in this day-long intensive we will be preparing our physical
vehicles to hold and
embody more light. investigating the traditional & contemporary
role of the awakening
shakti.

Tuition
- The cost of the entire 200-hour Teacher Training Program is
approximately $2500.
- The cost of the entire 300-hour Teacher Training Program is
approximately $3500.
- The Main Module is $600; $550 if paid before Jan 15,
07.
- The Fundamental Modules are $550 each or $1900 if paid in
full before February 24, 2007.
- The Advanced Training Modules are $650 or $2900 if paid in
full before February 24, 2007.
For those students Auditing. There will be a 20% discounted price on
all tuition.
If you are pursuing a Fundamental Certification but wish to supplement
with an Advanced Module, the tuition will be
higher for that chosen Module.
